THOMASVILLE FIRE RESCUE SET TO BEGIN HYDRANT FLUSHING

Starting next week, Thomasville Fire Rescue will conduct their annual fire hydrant testing within the Thomasville city limits. Testing involves “flushing” of hydrants, a controlled procedure that helps maintain the City of Thomasville’s water distribution system. “Flushing of hydrants involves pushing a lot of water through our pipes so we can inspect for hydrant maintenance needs and identify any blockages which could impede our firefighting efforts,” said Fire Rescue Chief Tim...

Three members of Thomasville Fire Rescue (TFR) were recently honored with a pinning ceremony to commemorate their completion of fire recruit training. CHANGE YOUR CLOCKS AND SMOKE ALARM BATTERIES FOR DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME

Daylight savings time will begin at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 14th. TFR COMMERCIAL BUILDING FIRE INSPECTIONS MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Since 2015, Thomasville Fire Rescue has provided annual fire inspections to all commercial properties within Thomasville’s city limits. The annual inspection period will begin for 2021 in late February and will run through December. Thomasville Fire Rescue and the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 2084 have teamed up to raise awareness of breast cancer. CONNELL NAMED TFR NEW FIRE CHIEF

Thomasville City Manager Alan Carson has named Tim Connell as the new Fire Chief for Thomasville Fire Rescue. The appointment is effective immediately.
